Tactical propulsion

ROXEL, subsidiary equally owned by MBDA and SNPE Matériaux Énergétiques, is the European leader in the tactical weapon propulsion system industry and in cruise missiles.

ROXEL offers missile manufacturers or contractors original solutions to meet their requirements in terms of thrust modulation, maneuverability or trajectory control. Such solutions result from the latest technological advances concerning propellant and missile propulsion architectures.

Know-how

ROXEL's French and English know-how encompasses all tactical weapon propulsion technology and allows the finest requirements to be met for the design, development and mass production of motors for tactical missiles, rockets and other weapon systems and gas generators.

Applications and programs

Production by ROXEL of a wide range of internationally renowned tactical missiles including MILAN, HOT, SEAWOLF, RAPIER, ASRAAM, AS15, ROLAND, ASMP and the EXOCET family.

Production by ROXEL of propellants that contribute to the success of its European partners' motors such as MAGIC, MICA, CROTALE, SHAHINE, MISTRAL (SPS) and SUPER D.

ROXEL also holds a lead position in new programs such as MARTE/AASM/RBS15 boosters or ASTER ground-to-air missiles and, particularly, in air-breathing propulsion for a new generation of cruise missiles ASMP-A.
