The purpose of this unit is to enhance SNPE Matériaux Énergétiques know-how, skills, technologies and facilities, based on the Research and Technology Division teams at Le Bouchet and Saint Médard-en-Jalles.

Environmental tests
SNPE Matériaux Energétiques Saint-Médard-en-Jalles (Gironde, South-West France) site is equipped with high-performance environmental test facilities which are implemented with acknowledged skills.
With more than 30 years of experience at the service of French national defense, our teams have long provided test services to industrialists from aeronautics, nuclear and automobile sectors and offer global services:
- Test specification processing based on international standardization (MIL STD 810, GAM EG 13, etc.)
- Customized test severity definition
- Design and creation of tools for the interface between tested equipment and test facilities
- Instrumentation and measurement processing
- Implementation of:

Equipment tested can be checked at different stages of its qualification with our X-ray and endoscopic installations.
Our installations allow tests on cumbersome and heavy equipment (up to several tons) and hazardous equipment (pyrotechnic: class 1.1, pressurized, etc.). They enable simultaneous mechanical and climatic tests.

Non-destructive tests
SNPE Matériaux Energétiques Saint-Médard-en-Jalles site has high-performance, non-destructive test facilities (CND) that meet a wide range of requirements, notably in the field of X-rays and tomography.

They are used by skilled operators (Camari, Cofrend/Cosac level II) able to analyze images and graphs.
